以上の6冊を借りた。
初めの提唱者がGoldさんだと思っていたが、その背景にSolomonoffさんがいた。
そうして、Angluinがどハマりしたことがよくわかる。
最後のMarronさんなんてのは初めて聞いた

Angluinさんは、タイトルだけみると78年の上のやつに似てるが

"Finding Patterns Common to a Set of Strings" ("Computer and System Sciences 21 (1980)) というのもある

Angluinさんの名前を見かけるのはここまでだが、
90年代に入ると日本人が首を突っ込みはじめて、 descriptionを複数化したり(つまり和言語を考える) してる。
Kyushu Institute of Technology のアリムラさん、シノハラさん、
大阪府立大学の植村さん。
